          | Invertebrates come in an endless variety
of shapes and sizes, and not all of them appear to be what you might
normally think of as an animal. Starfish, sponges, jellyfish and
coral are all marine invertebrates, living and thriving in the planet's
oceans, and sometimes at depths where no other animal can survive. |

          | | Did you know that starfish eat on the outside of their body? When a starfish eats, it moves its entire body over its meal, and
pushes its stomach outside its body! Once the stomach has started
to break down the food, the starfish sucks it back inside. |
